The Dyson Way

Caroline began studying at the University of Birmingham, gaining an MEng and Man in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Management.  She gained a good grounding in the aerospace and defence sector, working for Honeywell Hymatic for twelve years; specifically design engineering cryogenic equipment and pressure vessels.  Along the way, she became Chartered Engineer in 2004.  Studying part-time at the University of Birmingham, Caroline graduated with an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Engineered Materials for High Performance Applications in Aerospace and Related Technologies in 2009.

In 2010, Caroline joined Dyson as a Project Manager progressing to Motors and Power Systems Programme Manager.  She achieved Project Management Professional (PMP) status in 2011.  Now Global Compliance and Approvals Manager, she leads a fifty-strong team with responsibility for compliance of all Dyson’s current and future product range in global markets.

Caroline actively promotes Engineering supporting ventures with schools and universities.  Actively involved in both the IMechE and IED, fulfilling both ILO and Mentor roles, she joined the IED council in 2013.
